2Lt Caroline New is a Guidance/Navigation Engineer for the Navigation Branch of the Munitions Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RWGN), Eglin AFB, FL. Lt New received her undergraduate B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2006 from The Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing her masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. She is responsible for the formation of the South Eastern Section and also serves ION as the Co-Chair for the new Mini-Urban Challenge High School competition.

Mr. Kevin Shortelle is currently the Manager of System Dynamics' Integrated Systems Group in Gainesville, FL. His experience spans a wide range of GPS and navigation-related activities including simulation-based performance assessments, Kalman filter design, real-time software development, and test data analyses. He has presented technical papers at ION, PLANS, AIAA, and JSDE/JNC conferences. Prior to joining System Dynamics in 1988, Kevin was a Section Manager with The Analytic Sciences Corporation (TASC) in Reading, Massachusetts, from 1984 through1988, where he supported the development of the Trident II submarine navigation system. Prior to TASC, he was with McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Company, working in both St. Louis and California. While at McDonnell Douglas, he received the Teammate of Distinction Award for his contributions to the Harpoon missile program. Kevin received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed is assistant professor at the Geomatics program - school of Forest Resources and Conservation of the University of Florida. His current and past research and work interest is in geo-spatial technologies including navigation, geo-referencing and mapping. He has been a member of the Institute of Navigation since 1995. He was secretary of the Alberta Geomatics Group. Prior to joining the University of Florida, he held industrial and academic positions in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt.

Mr. George (Eddie) Gibbs has 22 years engineering experience with 18 years service as a weapon navigation systems engineer. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Alabama in 1985 and his Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1994. He has been a member of the Institute of Navigation since 1990 when he began his work on GPS anti-jam technology for tactical munitions through the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate. He has served in the capacity of technologist, chief engineer, program manager, team leader, and senior electronics engineer. His work resulted in the first wartime application of GPS jam resistance technology on a munition and has authored half a dozen papers that chronicle the progression of the work. He served as Institute of Navigation (ION) Session Chair 2000 and 1999. Mr. Gibbs is currently in the 682 Armament Systems Squadron as the Air Vehicle Integration Lead for the Small Diameter Bomb Increment II.
